Welcome to Inside Recliners. Issue 7. We hope you’ve had a great month. As usual, we’ve been hard at work here in the factory, but we’ve had time to get prepared for one of our favourite events of the year, the OT Show in Birmingham. Ever on the hunt for ways to make your job easier, this month we’ve also been having a look at tools to reduce paperwork. We’ve also given our advice on ways to reduce pressure injuries, with the World Stop Pressure Ulcer Day coming up later in the month.

Paperwork is one of the biggest bug bears across the medical industry, with the amount of time it takes often said to reduce the time caregivers are able to dedicate to their patients.
With Worldwide Stop Pressure Ulcer Day taking place later this month, we thought we’d take a look at how some of the most common causes of pressure injuries might be avoided.
Remember, it’s always far better to avoid pressure injuries than to treat them. So don’t worry about being over-careful with your patients – you’re doing them a favour even if it feels like you’re fussing!
To mark the worldwide Stop Pressure Ulcer Day on the 17th Nov, an event will be hep at the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre. Experts will share their knowledge on pressure care management and there will be a number of information stands available. There will be a particular focus on pressure care management in young people.
