We’ve been talking a lot recently about how to help your patients get the most from their Recliners chairs, by using the footrest correctly or providing appropriate lumber support. Another really important element to be aware of is the best way to maintain and clean your patients’ chairs.
Last month we looked at some of the technologies we were looking forward to seeing at the Rio Paralympics. Besides seeing Team GB put in such a fantastic performance, it was fascinating for us to watch so many of the very latest assistive technologies in action.
Pressure Injuries are one of the most common problems faced by OTs dealing with chair-bound patients. Even when all guidelines are followed it can be hard to tell exactly when a pressure injury is developing.
