Hi and welcome to this month’s Inside Recliners. We don’t know about you, but this year seems to have flown by here in the Welsh valleys. Time flies when you’re having fun they say, and we’ve certainly been doing that recently, working hard on your Christmas orders and… *drumroll*…

Showcasing our exciting new collaboration with one of Wales’ most exciting innovation hubs. More about that below (spoiler alert – it involves a bit of VR). We hope you’re well, keeping warm, and looking forward to a well deserved Christmas break. (On that note, we’ll be shutting the factory from 23rd December until Friday 3rd January.)

Recliners and ATIC Project team up to create 3D CAD Model of Recliner’s most Popular Chair

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps for a long time, but we are thrilled to announce our results of our collaboration with the Assistive Technologies Innovation Centre at University of Wales Trinity Saint David: a fully interactive 3D CAD model of the Multicare Plus.

The OT Show is always a highlight on our calendar, but we enjoyed it even more this year, as we showcased our collaboration with the ATIC project. As well as demoing some of our most popular models, visitors to our stand could explore the Multicare Plus in virtual reality. Find out more about that here. Besides this, it was great to see so many familiar faces and to meet so many new people, and get your thoughts and feedback on our range of models. Your ideas and knowledge keeps us innovating, so thanks to all involved for another great event.
