The star of our stand will undoubtedly be our newest model, the MultiCare Plus. This has proved hugely popular since its launch back in June – make sure you stop off for a free demonstration at the OT Show. Here’s a little more about what makes this chair so popular.

The MultiCare Plus

The MultiCare Plus has been crafted with optimum comfort and versatility in mind. It’s the perfect chair for the healthcare setting as its adaptable technology allows it to accommodate multiple patients with different needs. It’s also a great chair for individuals in the home environment as the Tilt in Space technology and adjustable back, leg and arm support ensure correct posture and distributed pressure at all times.

MultiCare Chair

Supreme Comfort

From the soft-profiled head and shoulder support to the inbuilt Posture Visco lateral back support, the MultiCare Plus has been designed to offer exceptional comfort whatever the seating position. Using a combination of Visco foams we have worked hard to create a chair that allows everyone to achieve correct posture with maximum support.

The utilisation of the torso cell back support can be used to meet the exact contours of a user’s back by simply adjusting the increments of foam within the cells, allowing weight to be safely and evenly distributed at all times. Extra support can be added throughout the chair via the simple to use, interchangeable seat module. Should a user’s pressure care requirements change the single layer box cushion is perfectly suited to most aircushions on the market. The deep channel leg rests offer complete support for calves and thighs, while maintaining a more central leg position.

Maximum Versatility

The MultiCare Plus can accommodate a complete range of postural requirements, making it suitable for individuals and multiple users.

The built in Tilt in Space technology allows the chair to be reclined gently while maintaining a constant back, hip and leg angle, allowing the user utmost comfortability in the chair while the seating position is altered. Tilt in Space technology allows pressure to be safely redistributed throughout the day, minimising the risk of pressure ulcers.

The width of the seat can be easily altered to accommodate a variety of sizes. Three width-adjustable arm pads come as standard with the MultiCare Plus, with the simplicity of the popper system allowing for quick and easy removal and replacement when required. What’s more, the height-adjustable footplate means that users of any size will have the correct foot support, along with the angle-adjustable feature catering for patients with restricted ankle movement.

Ease of Use

This chair has been designed to make it as easy as possible for both primary and secondary users to make the necessary adjustments quickly.

Operate the Tilt in Space technology from the heavy duty grab bar at the back of the chair and adjust the angle of the leg from the clasp on the outside of the arm. With the healthcare setting in mind, the Multi-Care plus sits on individually lockable castors, making it easy to move while a patient is seated.
