Welcome to this month’s Inside Recliners. First of all, whether you are a customer, a supplier, a partner or a competitor, we hope that this message finds you safe and well in this strange and uncertain time.

Given the circumstances, this month’s newsletter doesn’t have the usual content, though we did want to communicate a few quick messages. Firstly, with so many of you being either NHS staff providing vital services to some of the most vulnerable patients, we just wanted to extend our admiration and gratitude for the amazing work you do. We’re lucky enough to meet lots of you in our line of work, and we regularly see the dedication and care you bring to your roles. From all of us here at Recliners: Thank You. We’re here to support you in whatever small way we can. With that in mind, our production at the factory has shifted entirely. We are continually reviewing Government guidelines to keep our staff and their families safe, and where possible are fulfilling orders to key services such as hospitals and care homes. Finally, a couple of bits of information that may be of interest:

OTAC Events Postponed, but Community Moves Online

Following government guidelines around social gatherings and events, OTAC have postponed three upcoming events, with the new dates being pencilled in as:
  • Leeds: 21st April 2021 at Westwood Hall
  • Exeter:12th May 2021 at the Exeter Racecourse
  • Cambridge: 2nd September 2020 at the Hallmark Hotel
These are of course subject to change depending on the latest government guidance. In the meantime the community has moved online, with an OTAC Facebook group one of the main channels to network with and seek support from other OTs.

Coronavirus Guidance from the RCOT

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists have provided this guidance for OTs practicing during the crisis. Check in regularly, as this is subject to change as circumstances do.

A Word to our Retailers

We know this is an extremely difficult time for so many businesses, and rest assured we are actively looking at ways we can support you to come through this. Where we are able to help, be it through deferred payments or more support for your customers using our chairs, we will endeavour to do so, in order that we all come through this together. From all at Recliners. Stay Safe.
